After studying medicine at the Heinrich-Heine University in Dusseldorf, he has studied and trained abroad with various “masters” of the field in Germany and abroad (including Prof. Dr. Olbrisch, Plastic Surgery, Diakoniewerk Kaiserwerth, Dusseldorf).

He was assistant doctor in plastic surgery at the catholic hospital in Ruhrhalbinsel in Essen under chief physician Dr. med. M. Bromba and assisting doctor in Plastic and Hand Surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital in Vreden under the direction of Dr. med. A. Lehmköster after which he became recognized as a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery. During his targeted training, he gained extensive experience in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery at the at Lutheran Hospital Hattingen under Dr. K. Schuhmann (Academic Teaching Hospital of the University of Duisburg-Essen) where he resided since spring of 2008.

This complex background of experience is now at the disposal of patients at health2beauty, the specialist center for aesthetic and plastic surgery, as well as the extensive experience of , Mrs. Eva Kush also a practicing professional and manager of the practice. As one of the first providers of particularly innovative and sophisticated concepts- individual and friendly treatment procedures and surgical techniques- the two specialists have developed the unique concept of beautifully soft surgery.  Thorsten Wiens is a member of the following medical societies and associations:
